Studying prior to taking any test is very wise and should increase your confidence level. Stressing over taking a test is common even if you know or think you will pass. Try not to stress and to keep these tips in mind.
1) Plan your time and then use it accordingly in order to finish all parts. Start with the easiest parts first as this will help you to build confidence.
2) For multiple choice questions if you do not know the answer to try eliminate as many answers as you can before guessing.
Study guides are usually high level overviews assuming you have already been through the main material.
Practice questions are usually included in most study guides. These example problems may or may not be taken from older tests but they will generally be very similar in nature.
In many cases you will find after you complete an area of study a practice section. A lot of study guides include these to help with preparing for tests. It is a good idea to go ahead and complete these when possible.
