If you want to become a nurse or if you are already a nurse looking to get additional training or to earn another degree you have many options..You can find nursing programs from schools all over the nation at universities and community colleges alike. You can even find online nursing schools from several universities. All nursing schools are usually accredited by one board or another such as the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission. Generally you will find schools that offer different programs such as licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, etc.., and will also offer different types of degrees such as a two year program, a bachelors program and also graduate nursing programs. Depending on what type of nurse you would like to become will help you determine what type of degree you will need.
It is becoming more common for nurses who already have an RN to go back to school later in their career to earn an RN to BSN degree in order to advance their career such as going into management. Just something to think about!
